Why It Matters

Period poverty isn’t just about missing a product—it’s about missing school, missing work, missing out on dignity. For too many, menstruation is still a source of shame and discomfort, especially for those who can’t afford safe options. That’s why PMC was born: to make basic menstrual care not just available, but empowering.

The Moment That Changed Everything

I’m Jac, the founder of Project MoonCycle.
When I was a teenager, I often didn’t have access to proper period products. There were times I had to go to the nurse’s office and ask for help—only to be handed bulky, uncomfortable, hospital-grade pads that felt more like punishment than care. The shame of walking back into class with that brick of a pad between my legs while other kids whispered or stared still sits heavy in my memory.

Now, decades later, I see girls in our community facing the same thing. Nothing has changed.
So I decided to become the change.

What started as an idea is becoming a movement—because everyone deserves to feel clean, confident, and cared for during their cycle.
