🌕 PMC Diaries | The Storm Has Passed — It’s Go Time

ree

Hey friends 💛

Whew. It’s been a ride these last few weeks.

If you've been wondering where Project Moon Cycle disappeared to… the short answer is: I had to press pause. And not the soft kind of pause — more like the whole record scratched, emergency-move-due-to-toxic-mold kind of pause.

Our living situation became unsafe, and suddenly, every bit of energy had to go toward protecting my family and finding a new roof over our heads. So all things PMC — the kit assembly, school outreach, and donation follow-up — had to be put on the back burner.

And truthfully? I didn’t even open the boxes of donations that came in. Not because I wasn’t grateful, but because I was worried about possible mold exposure. I want to give the cleanest, healthiest, most nurturing products to our girls — and that meant protecting every item until we were in a safe, clean space where assembly could be done with love and care.

So here we are now, finally moved in and breathing fresh air, and it’s go time.

This week I’m reaching out to more Title I schools in Charleston County to start building partnerships and understand how best to distribute these Monthly Care Kits. I’m also getting our home set up with a dedicated PMC area — a space just for organizing donations, taking inventory, and assembling kits with structure and intention.

This weekend I’ll be opening every single box, sorting through the beautiful donations, and laying the foundation for what comes next.

All the items we’ve received so far have come from people like you — through our Amazon Wishlist and support from Water Wizards Power Washing.

Your generosity sat safely in boxes while life settled down — and now it’s time for those donations to become something real and impactful in the hands of young women who need them.

I can’t thank you enough for believing in this project, even during the pause.

In my next post, I’ll be sharing something I’ve been thinking through:

  • Should we create a PMC donation organizer where girls and women can select the specific items they need?

  • Or should we stick with our original model of three ready-to-go kit options?

  • Is there a way to do both without stretching resources too thin?

I’d love your thoughts. This isn’t just my project — it’s a collective vision. If you’ve got ideas or experience, I’m listening.

The pause is over. I’m grounded. I’m clear. I’m grateful. And I’m so ready to get these kits moving and into the hands of the girls who need them most.

If you’ve been following along — thank you. If you’re just finding this — welcome. And if you’ve got something to give, say, or share — I’m here for it.

Project Moon Cycle is a space for women, by women. And this is just the beginning.

With love and so much gratitude, Jac Founder, PMC 🌕 Human. Mom. Business Owner. Wild Woman
